They look very effective and one of these already has a home.</span><br />

These new pendants are inspired by her love for those colours. I must admit, when I was young, aqua was my favourite colour too and this has rekindle the love for it again.<br />
These are multi layered painted pendants work well with the silver ball and chain necklace. Rings in these colours to come!<br />

We saw some wonderful parts of this varied state, but one stole my heart- Carnarvon Gorge. I was totally blown away by its ruggedness, diversity and beauty. So of course, it gave me some inspirations for my next few pieces.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Ui4smPe93lM/Tn8Va3mINaI/AAAAAAAAAas/GeVJ_KoDbMw/s1600/IMG_4032.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Ui4smPe93lM/Tn8Va3mINaI/AAAAAAAAAas/GeVJ_KoDbMw/s320/IMG_4032.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here you can see how I got inspiration from my very favourite place- Mickey's Creek Gorge- isn't it dreamy!</div>

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The photograph of the pendant is tricky to capture, but this one was to represent the layers of sandstone and ochre that was used to create these ancient indigenous rock paintings at Baloon Cave. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Six of the latest colours made last weekend. A special gift has been inspired by these colours, so I wanted to have a trial before I got to it. I think they are lovely. Very feminine. My nine year old daughter made the bottom right one- not bad hey?JennyKayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06468442559564059379noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5289572712224854098.post-34080106535910267082011-09-02T15:42:00.001+10:002011-09-02T15:42:31.457+10:00Green & Blue- Ready for Spring!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

A new collection of Jenny Kay Handcrafted Jewelry ready for Spring. I thought that I should delve into some colours that I don't use very often to cater for all tastes and I must say I am loving the green!<br />

I have made 5, all from the same painting batch. I have also made some matching rings. They look great too. Mmmm, think pink is calling me now! Let me know if you would like any :)<br />

Worn with a black silk necklace, the pendant is 4.5cm in diameter. I used my gold, turquoise and burnt orange paper to create this pendant. More to come!JennyKayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06468442559564059379noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5289572712224854098.post-9046661868503570272011-08-16T19:54:00.000+10:002011-08-16T19:54:08.068+10:00Lady in Red<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JuSJkFGbqWw/Tko8p2Q5IeI/AAAAAAAAAaM/l-PsJd5DSLg/s1600/IMG_3485.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JuSJkFGbqWw/Tko8p2Q5IeI/AAAAAAAAAaM/l-PsJd5DSLg/s320/IMG_3485.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>Here is a new collection of 'Reds'. They look great with a silver ball chain or with a satin black necklace. The pendants are nickel free and look amazing with black or grey. The pendant on the top far left and top far right are both collaged to give a three dimensional look. Hope you like them.JennyKayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06468442559564059379noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5289572712224854098.post-42234023195360505302011-08-05T18:35:00.000+10:002011-08-05T18:35:40.489+10:00Order now!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-v_uauSBSuZw/TjuodaNSKQI/AAAAAAAAAZ0/0IfwhfwhuAM/s1600/IMG_3395.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-v_uauSBSuZw/TjuodaNSKQI/AAAAAAAAAZ0/0IfwhfwhuAM/s320/IMG_3395.jpg" width="320" /></a></div> I have many pendants, rings, and earrings ready to order now! <table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mdEqO_E6spY/ThaUvu1pQpI/AAAAAAAAAXg/FgF9WID9dDs/s1600/IMG_3057.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mdEqO_E6spY/ThaUvu1pQpI/AAAAAAAAAXg/FgF9WID9dDs/s320/IMG_3057.jpg" width="239" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Several layers of glaze and burnt umber added here</td></tr>
</tbody></table>I do apologise for not having the pics of the first step, but I don't seem to be able to see where I have saved them!! Any how, firstly I smeared modelling compound onto the canvas. I then used various items to create texture- non slip matting, lids and scoring tools.<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rp1W5wH9XpU/ThaUiGA0zTI/AAAAAAAAAXc/5V8Rs6M_6_U/s1600/IMG_3056.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rp1W5wH9XpU/ThaUiGA0zTI/AAAAAAAAAXc/5V8Rs6M_6_U/s320/IMG_3056.jpg" width="239" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">A close up of the texture</td></tr>
</tbody></table> I painted the whole canvas in Kaiser colour red and allowed it to dry. Then a second coat.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tkOCDYQQgEY/ThaU81lalII/AAAAAAAAAXk/xKN_JKbMXYQ/s1600/IMG_3058.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tkOCDYQQgEY/ThaU81lalII/AAAAAAAAAXk/xKN_JKbMXYQ/s320/IMG_3058.JPG" width="320" /></a></div> I then used Jo Sonja's Clear Glaze Medium and Heave body paint (a drop only) to begin creating a transparent colour scheme. The glaze makes the colour more vibrant and you can add many layers until you get he desired effect.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5HNCf29Yyn0/ThaVMT25p3I/AAAAAAAAAXo/nqx0Z0P5egM/s1600/IMG_3145.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5HNCf29Yyn0/ThaVMT25p3I/AAAAAAAAAXo/nqx0Z0P5egM/s320/IMG_3145.JPG" width="320" /></a></div> Now here is the fun bit! I then drizzled red paint down the canvas. Squeezing out more paint when I wanted long drizzles. When the paint reached the length that I wanted I lay it down to semi dry.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2ECvTJwF2vo/ThaVdmVOX2I/AAAAAAAAAXs/FDd8oVE_dI4/s1600/IMG_3146.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2ECvTJwF2vo/ThaVdmVOX2I/AAAAAAAAAXs/FDd8oVE_dI4/s320/IMG_3146.jpg" width="239" /></a></div><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-biQWeQQ8Lfo/ThaWuuS4JVI/AAAAAAAAAYE/tonCmjwsbic/s1600/IMG_3169.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-biQWeQQ8Lfo/ThaWuuS4JVI/AAAAAAAAAYE/tonCmjwsbic/s320/IMG_3169.jpg" width="239" /></a></div><br />
A couple of days later I sprayed the canvas with White Kings, Crystal Clear Acrylic. This gives a beautiful high gloss as well as preventing the canvas from yellowing.<br />

<br />
I have a dear friend who asked if I could make my jewelry in colour! After thinking a few days and walking around the house for inspiration and Viola- this is what I came up with. In her honour I have named the colour series after her '<i>The LPN</i>' collection.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-p7amK8DmQ90/TeyYySFV-DI/AAAAAAAAAVo/ZD70RYFzzWs/s1600/IMG_2892.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-p7amK8DmQ90/TeyYySFV-DI/AAAAAAAAAVo/ZD70RYFzzWs/s320/IMG_2892.jpg" width="239" /></a></div><br />
<br />
I have also started making rings. It is such fun and I have had some fantastic feedback from people. I am so excited with the prospect of these little gems.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6-OVDSoVN98/TeyYhvadIcI/AAAAAAAAAVk/aX8Oh-onI9Y/s1600/IMG_2891.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6-OVDSoVN98/TeyYhvadIcI/AAAAAAAAAVk/aX8Oh-onI9Y/s320/IMG_2891.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="-webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: underline;"></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I have also now made some black and white drawings in the rings and larger pendants too. This could be endless project. I am finding myself thinking about the next design when ever I get a moment to sit and take a breath.</div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<br />
I have been dabbling Resin to make some jewellery of late- not really dabbling more like possessed! Anyhow, I started worrying in the middle of the night (as you do) that there is such health risks with using resin so often, so pondered and thought of an alternative. When my dear friend <b>Mrs Tiff</b> gave me a oval pendant with with a glass dome covering. So here are some pics of my 'first go' with resin to the current design with glass dome.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SxMtKYngVxg/TdDnd3mvd7I/AAAAAAAAAT0/A8Jd6o3AXmA/s1600/IMG_2668.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SxMtKYngVxg/TdDnd3mvd7I/AAAAAAAAAT0/A8Jd6o3AXmA/s320/IMG_2668.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">You can see that my first go have now started to show signs of 'wear'. I didn't adhere the drawing properly and so the resin seeped under the image causing it to go brown.</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tKwS-AtYOBw/TdDnpSB9nUI/AAAAAAAAAT4/C64p24YLt9o/s1600/IMG_2669.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tKwS-AtYOBw/TdDnpSB9nUI/AAAAAAAAAT4/C64p24YLt9o/s320/IMG_2669.JPG" width="320" /></a></div> These designs are from my latest idea of doing letters for people's names. I have given some to some friends and even sold a few.<br />

This is for James and Leonie and I put the date of the wedding in the top design, along with a love heart in the bottom right corner. There were some bubbles with my last batch, so I am going to make her another one with the glass dome pendant.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3S5GbUMqAzo/Ta0rxLh06sI/AAAAAAAAASc/Xtq8FRf6zX4/s1600/IMG_2117.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3S5GbUMqAzo/Ta0rxLh06sI/AAAAAAAAASc/Xtq8FRf6zX4/s320/IMG_2117.jpg" width="239" /></a></div> So I got out a special dinner set that my husband inherited from a dear Aunt and made a very 'girly' table setting. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jcVj7EyDlpQ/Ta0sQBEdKGI/AAAAAAAAASk/Wo2-4JTgu-o/s1600/IMG_2121.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jcVj7EyDlpQ/Ta0sQBEdKGI/AAAAAAAAASk/Wo2-4JTgu-o/s320/IMG_2121.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>I love chrysanthemums and daisies, so I bought some for the table centres. I mixed my dinner sets, as I didn't have enough of each, so I thought it looked pretty nice with the mix of modern and vintage Royal Dalton.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-A2k1CAH_Dx0/Ta0sB2XarBI/AAAAAAAAASg/zsJltfX_4I4/s1600/IMG_2119.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-A2k1CAH_Dx0/Ta0sB2XarBI/AAAAAAAAASg/zsJltfX_4I4/s320/IMG_2119.jpg" width="239" /></a></div> Lunch, champagne, good company and some laughs- what more could a girl want.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-00ZwLzKg71k/Ta0shxS_uxI/AAAAAAAAASo/Go8Ui6YON7M/s1600/IMG_2123.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-00ZwLzKg71k/Ta0shxS_uxI/AAAAAAAAASo/Go8Ui6YON7M/s320/IMG_2123.jpg" width="239" /></a></div> I know- a cute little Schnauzer who wooed her way into the hearts of two particular girls!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-khYqRB6floc/Ta0sxfB6pNI/AAAAAAAAASs/K2ItzwmWklQ/s1600/IMG_2124.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-khYqRB6floc/Ta0sxfB6pNI/AAAAAAAAASs/K2ItzwmWklQ/s320/IMG_2124.jpg" width="239" /></a></div> These two pics are for you Jac and Brooke!- Love Georgie xxoo<br />

But I couldn't part with them all- so I kept some. They are just too sweet!<br />

I have wanted to do this project for a while, but as I have never worked with resin before, I was a little apprehensive. None-the-less, I have done it! This is how I went about it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TU5Fk6TMuEI/AAAAAAAAARY/kC2_WxRXU4I/s1600/IMG_1596.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TU5Fk6TMuEI/AAAAAAAAARY/kC2_WxRXU4I/s1600/IMG_1596.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TU5Fk6TMuEI/AAAAAAAAARY/kC2_WxRXU4I/s320/IMG_1596.jpg" width="239" /></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I had many drawings I had done whilst on my Winter holidays in June/July, so I chose one that appealed to me.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TU5F-ShUxoI/AAAAAAAAARc/6t6ZBupxkJY/s1600/IMG_1597.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TU5F-ShUxoI/AAAAAAAAARc/6t6ZBupxkJY/s320/IMG_1597.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I then reduced it 4 times on the photocopier, to get the desired size for a stirling silver pendant I had purchased for a 'very reasonable' price on e-bay.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TU5GKIOgpMI/AAAAAAAAARg/sBa0kBQa9IM/s1600/IMG_1598.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TU5GKIOgpMI/AAAAAAAAARg/sBa0kBQa9IM/s320/IMG_1598.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I touched up the black to ensure it was a true black and then put double sided tape on the image and inserted into the pendant.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TU5GYIunVkI/AAAAAAAAARk/CAhWKhp5qiY/s1600/IMG_1600.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TU5GYIunVkI/AAAAAAAAARk/CAhWKhp5qiY/s320/IMG_1600.jpg" width="239" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I then read the manufactures instructions 'very carefully' and mixed 100ml of resin to 1.5ml of catalyst. Always have a very well ventilated space to do this as the resin is very toxic. I did this outside. Mix the resin and catalyst in a washed butter container and a paddle pop stick. This allows the chemical reaction to place- heating.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Bubbles start to form and you can pop them with a toothpick. Let this set for 5 mins before putting on the image.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Next you start in the middle of the image adding drops in the centre of the pendant, one at a time. Keep doing this until the whole pendant is filled.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Place a container over top of the pendant so that dust wont stick to it. Check on it to pop any other bubble s that come to the surface.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">And that's it- my first piece of wearable art!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TU5FI7T8_NI/AAAAAAAAARU/N4Lbq72ngkM/s1600/IMG_1617.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TU5FI7T8_NI/AAAAAAAAARU/N4Lbq72ngkM/s320/IMG_1617.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This is me wearing it the next day- loving it. Lots more to come!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TU5LOKjM46I/AAAAAAAAARo/SfHvHt-0ol8/s1600/IMG_1622.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TU5LOKjM46I/AAAAAAAAARo/SfHvHt-0ol8/s320/IMG_1622.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

So the above is the final product. I am really happy with it. It kind of evolved as I did it. I didn't have any set design or plan and I love it!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6k0L7xauI/AAAAAAAAAQs/CwkQYpBiqKk/s1600/IMG_1509.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6k0L7xauI/AAAAAAAAAQs/CwkQYpBiqKk/s320/IMG_1509.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">So once again I have used my trusted friend- modelling compound- love this product! As you can see the old painting was very 'structured' and in my stage at the moment is more free form and liberal! </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6lBTe4YYI/AAAAAAAAAQw/SvS8qLy4ykc/s1600/IMG_1510.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6lBTe4YYI/AAAAAAAAAQw/SvS8qLy4ykc/s320/IMG_1510.jpg" width="239" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Using the modelling compound or textured paste, I smeared the compound over the old painting using a spatula. I ensured that it was added quite thickly and only on one third of the canvas.</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6h67zMMNI/AAAAAAAAAP8/n009Nu3QAeY/s1600/IMG_1526.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6h67zMMNI/AAAAAAAAAP8/n009Nu3QAeY/s320/IMG_1526.jpg" width="239" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6lPJ15E6I/AAAAAAAAAQ0/-69_bgXflmQ/s1600/IMG_1511.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6lPJ15E6I/AAAAAAAAAQ0/-69_bgXflmQ/s320/IMG_1511.jpg" width="239" /></a></div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Next I painted over the entire canvas with my trusty Dulux white wash and wear- 2 coats.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6iWMqfM9I/AAAAAAAAAQA/dwVt9KUOxfY/s1600/IMG_1527.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6iWMqfM9I/AAAAAAAAAQA/dwVt9KUOxfY/s320/IMG_1527.jpg" width="239" /></a></div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I then went over the other 2 thirds of the canvas with a mix of white paint and impasto gel- making it quite thick again, but a little smoother in texture. Impasto gel give s a gloss appearance, where compound is matt and more dense- like toothpaste consistency</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6ik9z67jI/AAAAAAAAAQE/QmYtKp0GDkk/s1600/IMG_1528.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6ik9z67jI/AAAAAAAAAQE/QmYtKp0GDkk/s320/IMG_1528.jpg" width="239" /></a></div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I then had this colour left over from another project and started by using a paintbrush and it wasn't going on so well so I put a blob on with my spatula and then smeared it- gee that was looking better, then I used vertical motions and viola!</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6iysjq47I/AAAAAAAAAQI/RPBKWbwFwb8/s1600/IMG_1529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6iysjq47I/AAAAAAAAAQI/RPBKWbwFwb8/s320/IMG_1529.jpg" width="239" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6i_V_HJtI/AAAAAAAAAQM/tJUefe8CPEE/s1600/IMG_1530.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6i_V_HJtI/AAAAAAAAAQM/tJUefe8CPEE/s320/IMG_1530.jpg" width="239" /></a></div><div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I then mixed 2 shades of brown and smeared that below- ensuring there was some mixing of the colours.</div><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6jLjGgdlI/AAAAAAAAAQQ/VaWwqG_LcwE/s1600/IMG_1531.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6jLjGgdlI/AAAAAAAAAQQ/VaWwqG_LcwE/s320/IMG_1531.jpg" width="239" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6jY8CU-9I/AAAAAAAAAQU/w1sAXKC_y18/s1600/IMG_1532.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6jY8CU-9I/AAAAAAAAAQU/w1sAXKC_y18/s320/IMG_1532.jpg" width="239" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I love the unstructured lines, bumps and smears of paint and texture.</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6jkUbnJVI/AAAAAAAAAQY/_kbNXsjACNI/s1600/IMG_1533.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6jkUbnJVI/AAAAAAAAAQY/_kbNXsjACNI/s320/IMG_1533.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6j4g96dfI/AAAAAAAAAQg/DA-x38DEde8/s1600/IMG_1539.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6j4g96dfI/AAAAAAAAAQg/DA-x38DEde8/s320/IMG_1539.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I allowed it to dry and hung it back in its rightful place.</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6kEu_oeuI/AAAAAAAAAQk/JBRKSYvRiKk/s1600/IMG_1540.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_EkZsTvxqU4I/TS6kEu_oeuI/AAAAAAAAAQk/JBRKSYvRiKk/s320/IMG_1540.JPG" width="320" /></a></div> But didn't like it with the darker brown on top- so turned it around- that's better!<br />
Hope you like it. J<br />
