'We know what we are, but know not what we may be' -William Shakespear Explore what I can be through my creations......
Art is in the eye of the beholder and so too are the images that inspire. My work varies from painting, drawing , sculpting and photography. I get my inspiration from artists that I love, things that surround me, my family and my imagination.

Lady in Red
Here is a new collection of 'Reds'. They look great with a silver ball chain or with a satin black necklace. The pendants are nickel free and look amazing with black or grey. The pendant on the top far left and top far right are both collaged to give a three dimensional look. Hope you like them.

Jenny Kay Handcrafted Jewelry
I have done a little bit of research into the power of text in art. So I thought- why not add some text tyo some of my pendant designs.
These were some of the postage stamp sized pendants and the one in the middle is as you can see a little larger.
This pendant was a 'paper collage' of some of my painted papers. More to come so stay tuned.

Drizzle Canvas
I have had this canvas sitting in my study for months and now that I am on holidays, I finally have had a chance to try out a new idea that I had.
I do apologise for not having the pics of the first step, but I don't seem to be able to see where I have saved them!! Any how, firstly I smeared modelling compound onto the canvas. I then used various items to create texture- non slip matting, lids and scoring tools.
I painted the whole canvas in Kaiser colour red and allowed it to dry. Then a second coat.
I then used Jo Sonja's Clear Glaze Medium and Heave body paint (a drop only) to begin creating a transparent colour scheme. The glaze makes the colour more vibrant and you can add many layers until you get he desired effect.
Now here is the fun bit! I then drizzled red paint down the canvas. Squeezing out more paint when I wanted long drizzles. When the paint reached the length that I wanted I lay it down to semi dry.
I also added a mocha colour and then a final drizzle of gold
A couple of days later I sprayed the canvas with White Kings, Crystal Clear Acrylic. This gives a beautiful high gloss as well as preventing the canvas from yellowing.
Well ventilated, but sorry- forgot the mask and glasses!!! OOPS
I have replaced the other canvas that I did earlier in the year to the spare room and put my new passionate red canvas above my bed- more fitting don't you think??
Since taking these pics I have purchased 2 red cushions to tie in the canvas colours with the bed. I am very pleased with it- It totally lifts the room.

I poured a mix of Kaiser off white and Clear medium glaze together to see what effect would be created. It looks like Christmas icing doesn't it?

Ring around a Rosie!
I have started to put my skills to making rings now in a variety of colours.
I made this one for my dear friend Mrs Tiff who loves all this French. This is one of my drawings put into a ring- and I have many others.
I even love the way the glue at times creates a third dimension with bubbles. The great thing is that you never know what will happen!! Each ring, except the drawn ones, are one offs as I use a variety painting techniques are used on each one. I have now found some earrings to try!

More Jewelry and in Colour!
I have a dear friend who asked if I could make my jewelry in colour! After thinking a few days and walking around the house for inspiration and Viola- this is what I came up with. In her honour I have named the colour series after her 'The LPN' collection.
I have also started making rings. It is such fun and I have had some fantastic feedback from people. I am so excited with the prospect of these little gems.
I have also now made some black and white drawings in the rings and larger pendants too. This could be endless project. I am finding myself thinking about the next design when ever I get a moment to sit and take a breath.
