Art is in the eye of the beholder and so too are the images that inspire. My work varies from painting, drawing , sculpting and photography. I get my inspiration from artists that I love, things that surround me, my family and my imagination.

New glamour collection
I have had a wee break from blogging and I gained some inspiration from a little bit of bling with some gold, silver and copper leaf that I had in my cupboard.
Silver leaf with painted textures
These two coloured painted backgrounds screamed silver to me and I was really happy with the green one in particular as the gilding on the textured paint left some lovely impressions.
gold leaf- love this one!

Silver, gold and copper leaf - very decadent!

These two pendants are my favourites.  They are rich and lovely.  I can't wait to wear them and see how they look.

So now I will be looking for other ways to incorporate my silver, copper and gold leaf into my designs.

New Pendants- ready for Christmas

I have just finished a series of more Reds for my collection as they were so popular.  These ones remind me of 'Spider man'.  They look lovely when you wear black.
I also had many people tell me that they really liked the green and blue toned pendants, so I experimented a little and layered colours.  They look very effective and one of these already has a home.
My son's beautiful teacher ordered this for a friend's birthday.  Her friend is a personal trainer so she wanted those inspiring type words on her pendant.  It looked lovely and my son's teacher scored one too!!

If anyone would like to  order any pendants please send me a message!

A special gift for teacher

I recently made an order for a friend and I am so pleased with it that I had to share it.  She wanted the letter 'R' and a tree- (my favourite) for the other.  Here they are- just so happy with them. Thanks Georgia!

Lucy's inspiration

My daughter loves aqua and purple.  These new pendants are inspired by her love for those colours.  I must admit, when I was young, aqua was my favourite colour too and this has rekindle the love for it again.
These are multi layered painted pendants work well with the silver ball and chain necklace.  Rings in these colours to come!

Inspirations

Last week we went on a family driving holiday to many parts of Queensland.  We saw some wonderful parts of this varied state, but one stole my heart- Carnarvon Gorge.  I was totally blown away by its ruggedness, diversity and beauty.  So of course, it gave me some inspirations for my next few pieces.
Here you can see how I got inspiration from my very favourite place- Mickey's Creek Gorge- isn't it dreamy!

The photograph of the pendant is tricky to capture, but this one was to represent the layers of sandstone and ochre that was used to create these ancient indigenous rock paintings at Baloon Cave.
And the glorious layers of sandstone at the Moss Garden.

The sights I have seen in the past week will keep me inspired for a long time to come.

Thinking pink?

Six of the latest colours made last weekend.  A special gift has been inspired by these colours, so I wanted to have a trial before I got to it.  I think they are lovely.  Very feminine.  My nine year old daughter made the bottom right one- not bad hey?
