Art is in the eye of the beholder and so too are the images that inspire. My work varies from painting, drawing , sculpting and photography. I get my inspiration from artists that I love, things that surround me, my family and my imagination.

3D memory Canvas

I started this canvas months ago and finally managed to get it finished now that I am on holidays.

Firstly I collected bits and bobs that were meaningful to me eg.  a baby shoe, the first letter of my name, a cross, old jewellery, shells ect...
I glued gunned them on or you could use Atelier Modelling compound, which I used for the shells.

Next, I spray painted  it with a brown toned spray paint
I then used Dulux, wash and wear white paint and did a few coats, so as to not have brush strokes.

I then used Jo Sonja's Glaze Medium between coats of burnt Umber acrylic and white paint.

I wanted to achieve that old/vintage look.  After all had dried, I used the dry brush method of highlighting the items with vintage gold acrylic paint.  And ta da- my 3D memory canvas.
