Art is in the eye of the beholder and so too are the images that inspire. My work varies from painting, drawing , sculpting and photography. I get my inspiration from artists that I love, things that surround me, my family and my imagination.

Inspirations

Last week we went on a family driving holiday to many parts of Queensland.  We saw some wonderful parts of this varied state, but one stole my heart- Carnarvon Gorge.  I was totally blown away by its ruggedness, diversity and beauty.  So of course, it gave me some inspirations for my next few pieces.
Here you can see how I got inspiration from my very favourite place- Mickey's Creek Gorge- isn't it dreamy!

The photograph of the pendant is tricky to capture, but this one was to represent the layers of sandstone and ochre that was used to create these ancient indigenous rock paintings at Baloon Cave.
And the glorious layers of sandstone at the Moss Garden.

The sights I have seen in the past week will keep me inspired for a long time to come.

Thinking pink?

Six of the latest colours made last weekend.  A special gift has been inspired by these colours, so I wanted to have a trial before I got to it.  I think they are lovely.  Very feminine.  My nine year old daughter made the bottom right one- not bad hey?

Green & Blue- Ready for Spring!

A new collection of Jenny Kay Handcrafted Jewelry ready for Spring.  I thought that I should delve into some colours that I don't use very often to cater for all tastes and I must say I am loving the green!
I have made 5, all from the same painting batch.  I have also made some matching rings.  They look great too.  Mmmm, think pink is calling me now!  Let me know if you would like any :)
